At-Home Landline - MedicalAlert's at-home landline medical alert device, is an older model, but is no less functional. The help button connects to the base station, which connects to the monitoring station through your phone's landline. The range from the help button to the base station is 400 feet, which is plenty.

At-Home No Landline - MedicalAlert offers an in-home medical alert system that connects to the monitoring station via a cellular signal, if you don't have a landline. It offers the same functionality as the at-home landline system. That said we find it a little dated.

Mobile - MedicalAlert has two mobile devices which can be used in our outside the home - wherever you get a cellular signal. The standard device is a little bulky, but it comes with 2 way voice and GPS. The mini device has the same features plus fall detection, but is smaller and lighter - but it costs $5 more per month.

MedicalAlert outsources its monitoring to Rapid Response, one of the largest 3rd party monitoring companies in the country. It offers multiple redundant locations, multi-lingual service and emergency certified agents. Agents will stay on the phone with clients until help arrives, if required. They will maintain a list of contacts and information that can be relayed to emergency personnel.
HOW GOOD IS MedicalAlert's CUSTOMER SERVICE?
MedicalAlert's customer service has a good reputation. While there are some issues with tracking returns that we can see from customer comments and complaints with the BBB, when the issues arise, it seems MedicalAlert has done a good job resolving the issue promptly and satisfactorily.
